AUTUMN/WINTER 2014

The best news has to be that Here Today, Gone Tomorrow- A Life in Dance was recently listed in the top twenty of Amazon’s Best Seller List for Ballet Biography. (The list is updated every day, I know !) Otherwise this has been an on-off summer season with the annual festival performances often disrupted by the technicians’ strikes and open-air performances by the weather. However, we did see two performances given by the Ballets de Monte-Carlo which Christina has reviewed in the September issue of Dancing Times. The autumn season is southern France is packed with interesting dance performances, as well as a return visit by James Thierrée and by Bartabas. The main event will be the visit by the Bolshoi Ballet to Monte-Carlo performing Ballet de Monte-Carlo director, Jean-Christophe Maillot’s new version of The Taming of the Shrew. Christina is reviewing all of these and many more performances for Dancing Times and for Dancetabs.com.
